All-round Aman guides Young Lions Club to thumping victory

Aman Khan slammed an unbeaten century and took two wickets to guide Young Lions Club to a 91-run win over Sir Syed Cricketers in the YS Ramaswamy memorial cricket tournament here.

Riding on Aman’s 124, coupled with Sounak B’s half-century (70) and Shivaraj’s 48, Young Lions posted a massive 337/8 in 50 overs. Deepak Gowda, with figures of 5/70, was the most successful bowler for Syed Cricketers.

In reply, Akshay M A, with 89 runs, led the fightback for Syed Cricketers, which was backed well by Dheemanth’s 50 and Rajkumar’s 41, before they were bundled out for 246 in 42.3 overs. Aman (2/32), Prateek (2/18) and Pranesh (2/35) shared six wickets between them as Young Lions secured the match in their favour.
