Former DySP Anupama Shenoy said on Thursday she had written to the governor, Assembly speaker, Council chairperson and the chief secretary, seeking permission to file charge sheets in the court against eight people in connection with her transfer from Kudligi last year.

She has sought permission for filing chargesheets against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Home Minister G Parameshwara, his advisor Kempaiah, state election commissioner P N Srinivasachary, Hadagali MLA P T Parameshwar Naik, former DG&IGP Om Prakash, IGP S Murugan and SP R Chetan.

Anupama was addressing a press conference in the city. She said she was shunted out at a time when the ZP and TP elections were under way, as she had proved a hurdle for distribution of illicit liquor.

Ready to face probe: Naik

Meanwhile, Congress and BJP members in the Assembly on Thursday clashed over fresh charges made by Anupama Shenoy against former minister P T Parameshwar Naik, reports DHNS from Bengaluru.

Naik denied charges by Anupama that he had demanded Rs 42 lakh from the liquor
lobby to transfer her from the post of DySP. In addition, he took exception to Opposition leader Jagadish Shettar for ‘trying to defame him by raising the issue’.

“All the charges are far from the truth. I am ready to face probe by any agency. She is frustrated that she resigned from her post. I am ready to quit politics if she proves the charges. Are you (Shettar) ready to do so if you fail to prove the charges?” he asked. BJP members raised objection to Naik and argued that their leader had only referred to reports in newspapers.

Members on both the sides indulged in a heated argument when Naik described BJP members as shameless and charged them with trying to defame him. Law Minister T B Jayachandra pacified the members.
