Sandhu shines as Haryana oust Karnataka

AS Sandhu’s 10-wicket haul for the match handed Haryana a stunning 80-run win over Karnataka in the semifinal of the Col CK Nayudu Trophy cricket tournament at Alur here on Friday.

Needing 172 runs to win on the final day, Karnataka suffered a dramatic collapse to be bundled out on just 92 runs.

Haryana’s Sandhu (4/29) and Arun Chaprana (4/20) shared eight wickets amongst them.

Earlier, Karnataka, riding on centruries from Samarth Ooty  (113) and Naveen MG (124) , had scored 447 in 159.1 overs to take the lead.
