Practo raises $55 m in Series D funding

 Leading healthcare platfrom Practo has announced that it has raised $55 million in Series D funding led by Tencent. New investors including ru-Net, RSI Fund and Thrive Capital participated in the round, alongside Sequoia Capital, Matrix Partners, Capital G, Altimeter Capital and Sofina, who are existing investors.

The company intends to invest in building an integrated platfrorm to add value to the healthcare ecosystem. Welcoming the new investors onboard, Practo Founder and CEO Shashank N D said, “This round will help us continue our geographic expansion. 2017 will be the year our integrated healthcare platform comes to life, and we will partner with various service providers to build solutions with Practo. This will be made possible by providing a central infrastructure on which the entire healthcare ecosystem can interact, connect, create and exchange value.”
