Two students of Bishop Cotton PU College, Bengaluru, drowned in the Cauvery river near Shivanasamudra in the taluk on Friday.
The deceased have been identified as Srinivas (21) and Madhavan (21), residents of Yelahanka in Bengaluru. It is said that 56 students of the college were on a trip to Shimsha Falls on Friday. The duo had ventured into the river near Wesley Bridge for a swim and drowned. The Kollegal Rural police have registered a case.
