Last Updated 12 January 2017, 19:23 IST

A new initiative by the N S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) at IIM-Bangalore (IIMB) will nurture young not-for-profit social ventures, raising them to global standards and helping them make an impact.

The programme titled ‘NSRCEL Social’ is open to organisations working to solve urban issues such as education, livelihood, health and financial inclusion.

According to Rajiv Sawhney, chief operating officer at NSRCEL, the initiative aims to address the lack of support system for early-stage non-profit organisations. Over two years, the teams will participate in events, workshops and mentoring sessions. The selected ventures will have the support of mentors like angel investors, software professionals and chartered accountants. The teams will also be advised by a committee of on-profit and business leaders from areas such as investment banking, IT, advertising, social sector, besides the faculty at IIM-B.

The programme is being conducted by NSRCEL  with support from Michael and Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF).  The application process is open till January 31, 2017. One can register at the following link http://bit.ly/2jGQWCr.
