Head Start emerge champions

Head Start Educational Academy trounced St Paul’s English School by 97 runs to emerge champions in the KSCA BTR Shield under-14 Division III tournament. Batting first in the final, Head Start lads managed to post 200/9, thanks largely to a 41 from Darshan S and handy efforts by Manvir K (30) and Shiv K (25).

For St Paul’s, Hussain NC was the wrecker-in-chief with three for 51 while Gaurav K M (2/19) and Shamanth Karthi (2/47) shared two wickets apiece. Dhruv P then turned out to be the hero for Head Start as his fine performance of 4/19 helped dismiss St Paul’s for 103 in 31 overs. Manvir K shone with the ball too, taking 2/22.
