JOIN USA 25-year-old woman married to a software-engineer for nine months, committed suicide at their house in BTM Layout, I Stage, on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Yasmin. She was married to Mujib and both hail from Hyderabad.
According to police, the couple were frequently fighting over domestic issues. Mujib used to rebuke Yasmin for talking on her mobile phone continuously.
Recently, the couple quarrelled over the same issue. After Mujib went to work, Yasmin hanged herself from the ceiling.
The incident came to light when Mujib came home in the evening and found her hanging, added the police. Yasmin’s parents, in their complaint, stated that she committed suicide as she was being harassed for dowry.
However, Mujib claimed that she was having an affair with another man and was upset that she could not marry him.
Based on the complaint filed by Yasmin’s parents, Mujib is being questioned, added the police.
Mico Layout police have registered a case.
