COMEDK UGET on May 7 across country

Last Updated 22 December 2016, 20:11 IST
The Undergraduate Entrance Examination for Engineering Courses (UGET – 2017) conducted by COMEDK will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017, across the country.

The exam is conducted by COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) for entrance to engineering courses of member institutions.

“A detailed calendar of events and the information brochure in this regard would be hosted on the website (www.comedk.org) in due course. Candidates are required to check the website for all the updates,” a circular on the website said.

The computerised exam will be conducted at centres across the country. Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the entrance test as there are no lateral entry admissions.

Candidates for BArch course do not have an entrance test. They can apply for counselling based on their National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) score. Students need to score a minimum of 80 out of 200 marks.

Until last year, COMEDK used to conduct UGET for medical and dental colleges in the state. With the introduction of National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test (NEET) in 2016, the exam is a gateway for engineering and architecture courses only.
