Two die in separate road accidents

Two persons were killed in separate road accidents on Ullal Main Road and Old Airport Road. In a case of hit-and-run, a 38-year-old businessman was killed after a goods vehicle hit his bike from behind near Ullal Main Road on Saturday night. The deceased is Paramesh S K, a resident of Byadarahalli. The incident took place while he was returning home after work.

Around 10 pm, he was riding his two-wheeler near Ullal Main Road when a goods vehicle hit his bike from the rear. Paramesh fell down and sustained head injuries. The passersby alerted the Kamakshipalya traffic police, who shifted Paramesh to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead, said the police.

The goods vehicle driver fled the spot along with the vehicle. The registration number of the vehicle has been obtained and efforts are on to trace it. In another incident, a 24-year-old person was killed after he sustained head injuries when he dashed his car into a divider near the HAL Museum on Old Airport Road in the early hours of Sunday.

The deceased is Inzamam-Ul-Haq, a resident of Doddanekundi who was working in a provision store. He was a native of Kerala. Around 6.30 am, he was on his way to KR Market to purchase vegetables, when the accident took place. He lost control over his car and hit the divider. Due to the impact of the collision, Haq sustained severe head injuries. Passersby shifted him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead, said the Old Airport Traffic police.
