Manoj, Suhas, Parul win gold at Para meet

 India’s Manoj Sarkar, Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj and Parul Parmar bagged gold at the Asian Para-badminton championship, which concluded in Beijing, China on Sunday.

Manoj beat Xiaoyu Chen of China 21-17, 21-14 in the SL3 singles final while Yathiraj finished on top with a 21-4, 21-11 win over Hary Susanto of Indonesia in the SL4 category.

In the women’s SL3 section, Parmar won the gold after beating Wannaphatdee Kamtam of Thailand 21-10, 21-5.

India’s Mark Dharmai and his partner Chun Yim Wong of Hong Kong won the doubles gold (SS6) after defeating Chinese duo of Guangliang Luo and Huide Yan 21-12, 21-17.

SL4: Suhas Lalinkere Yathiraj (Ind) bt Hary Susanto (Idn) 21-4, 21-11;
SS6: Mark Dharmai (Ind)/ Chun Yim Wong (Hkg) bt Guangliang Luo/ Huide Yan (Chn) 21-12, 21-17.

Women: SL3: Parul Parmar (Ind) bt Wannaphatdee Kamtam (Thi) 21-10, 21-05
