JOIN USA woman fractured her leg after slipping from an escalator at Magadi Road Metro station on Wednesday.
The incident took place when Nagarathna took an escalator with a relative to reach the platform. In no time, she fell from the top part of the escalator.
When the BMRCL staffers stopped the escalator, the woman had already rolled down at least five steps. Her left leg was fractured and her face was bruised. She was rushed to a hospital in an ambulance, a security staffer told DH.
First, the nursing staff who reached the spot by a bike ambulance, gave her first aid. Later, she was taken to the hospital in another ambulance.
Earlier in the week, a boy had reportedly slipped from the platform on to the track in Cubbon Park Metro station. However, he was not hurt.
