MLA Somashekar pitches for Parameshwara as CM candidate

Congress MLA from Yeshwantpur S T Somashekar said on Thursday that Home Minister G Parameshwara will be the chief ministerial candidate of the party in the 2018 Assembly elections.

Parameshwara was present when Somashekar made the statement that raised many eyebrows in the state Congress circles. The MLA was speaking at a function organised to mark the 63rd All India Cooperative Week. Parameshwara clarified that the party has not taken any decision on any individual leading the party. “I don’t know whether I will be the next chief minister or not, but it is certain that Somashekar will become minister for cooperation.”
