The Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) unit of Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has arrested a 28-year-old man and seized hashish oil, a narcotic substance, from a renowned courier company on November 10.
According to a press release issued by the NCB, the consignment from a reputed courier company, which contained 10 boxes of 500 grams each, a total of 1.9 kg of hashish oil was seized.
Further investigation led to the arrest of a Maldivian, who had booked the consignment. He had come to India in 2015. He is being further interrogated.
It is suspected that several people are behind the racket and further investigation has been taken up, the NCB stated in the press release.
