The Centre will start e-auction for the second batch of private FM radio channels next week. The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has fixed October 25 as the tentative date for starting the e-auction.
The second batch of FM Phase-III radio auction will be held for 266 channels in 92 cities, which include 227 channels in 69 fresh cities. Among applicants are Abhijit Realtors and Infraventures, The Mathrubhumi Printing and Publishing Company, Kal Radio, South Asia FM and Entertainment Network (India), which operates Radio Mirchi.
