Mood in Kiwi camp still upbeat, says pacer Boult

Things have gone progressively bad for New Zealand in the series but pacemanTrent Boult insisted the mood in their camp continues to be positive. He, however, admitted that they would have to contribute more with the bat in the remaining matches.

“The tour till date hasn't gone as we would have liked. A tough experience with the Test match series, a severe defeat the other night in Dharamsala but the mood in the camp is positive. Obviously there is the luxury of a five-match series and there are still four matches up for grabs,” Boult said.

“We are looking to get more runs. If we could put more runs on board we could offer more scoreboard pressure on the good Indian side. I am not going to single anyone out in terms of their performance, but I am sure all of the playing XI would like to contribute more with the bat. In terms of the field and with the bowlers, it's something that we pride ourselves on in showing a lot of energy and in applying more pressure. I think the next couple of occasions and the next few nights is a big stage for the batters and I am sure they are looking forward to it.”
Boult also backed his captain Kane Williamson, who is also struggling to be among runs.
