All-round Benedict spurs Vikram CC

Benedict Raj followed up his six-wicket haul with a fighting 45 as Vikram Cricket Club pulled off a five-wicket win over Merchants Cricket Club (2) in the KSCA Group I, Division IV league-cum-knockout tournament for the Metro Shied here.

Benedict’s 6/20 helped Vikram CC restrict Merchants CC to a modest 120 all out in 36.5 overs.

In reply Vikram CC batsmen appeared to be making heavy weather of the small target before Benedict struck 45 to help his team reply with 121/5 in 24 overs.

Meanwhile, a five-wicket haul from Manish and a century from Ryan Ninan helped Friend’s Eleven Cricket Club record a massive 204-run win over Chamrajpet Cricket Club.

Batting first,  Friends Eleven rode on Ryan’s 124 and Darshan KV’s 87 to score a 345 in 50 overs. For Chamrajpet CC, Samarth, with figures of 5/50 was the most successful bowler.

In reply, Chamrajpet CC were bowled out for just 144 in 30.2 overs. Manish claimed 5/11 for Friend’s Eleven.
