High Court judge Justice A S Bopanna on Friday, recused himself from hearing a petition filed by the father and brother of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) M K Ganapathi who committed suicide on July 7, 2016.
Ganapathi's father M K Kushalappa and brother M K Machaiah have approached the High Court seeking directions to the state government and the CID to hand over the investigation into Ganapathi’s suicide to the CBI.
