JOIN US A 26-year-old radio taxi driver died after falling from the balcony of his friend’s third-floor house in Dwarka sector-16 on Monday evening.The victim was naked when he landed on the ground.
The house has been rented out by an engineer at a BPO company in Gurgaon. He has been living alone in the house for the last few months.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem, and police are questioning the victim’s friend. It was not immediately clear whether the victim fell accidentally. Police suspect that the two men were drinking and also had sex.
“He was naked, and was at his friend’s house. We suspect it to be a case of section 377 of the IPC,” said a senior police officer, referring to the law which penalises homosexual acts.
The incident happened around 7 pm when residents of Janta Flats in sector-16 saw the body crashing to the ground.
“I was having a walk when I witnessed a dark object falling from the third floor towards the ground. Intially, I thought a portion of the balcony had crashed, but when we went near we saw that it was a man,” said a local resident
The onlookers who rushed to the spot were shocked further to see that the victim was completely naked.
“I rushed to see the incident however got taken aback after seeing the body completely naked,” the resident said.
