Batting first, City XI batsman Bopanna shared a third-wicket partnership of 153 runs with Akshay Ashok (60) on his way to a an innings of 141 in 211 balls as his team posted 347 in 90 overs. Abhilash Shetty, with figures of 6/35, was the most successful bowler for Mofussil XI.
In reply, Moffusil were on 32/1 in eight overs, with Kaustub and Nirmith Shashidhar at crease, before the end of the day’s play.
