JOIN US The Vaswani Group has objected to statements made by landholder Sunil Gupta regarding a property dispute.
“The statement by Gupta that Vaswani’s land has gone towards road-widening is false and is an attempt to divert the issue from the encroachment that Gupta has committed. Gupta has propped up his wife Archana to carry through his encroachment plan, which was prevented with timely intervention of the police,” a press release by the Group said.
The group claimed that Gupta has a history of encroaching on government land and has been indicted by the Koliwad Committee on Lake Encroachment regarding encroachment on Hoodi Lake.
The title deeds of Vaswani Developers date back to 2006 and were executed by the High Court. The title deed of Gupta is of March 2016, the group claimed in the press release.
When some persons tried to start construction near Gupta’s property on August 17, his wife Archana brandished a machete and threatened to kill the workers.
