JOIN US Centuries from SM Rajkumar and Jayesh Babu and a six-wicket haul from Shreyas BM helped Jawahar Sports Club (1) register a massive innings and 286 runs victory over Standard Cricket Club in the KSCA Group I, Division I, II and III under-19 inter-club cricket tournament here.
Shreyas, with figures of 6/12, was the chief destructor while Tushar Harikrishna (3/11) also made a handy contribution for Jawahar SC as they skittled out Standard CC for a paltry 35 in 27.5 overs in their first innings.
In response, Rajkumar (160) and Jayesh (121) slammed a ton each as Jawahar SC declared on 423 for six in 88.1 overs, ensuring a lead of 388 runs. In their second essay, Standard CC could only muster 102 in 38.5 overs.
Tushar again struck with the ball, returning with figures of four for five as Jawahar SC romped home without much trouble.
In the other game, Shubhang Hegde (156, 3/24) produced an all round performance as Swastic Union Cricket Club (2) recorded a draw against Jawahar Sports Club (2).
