Ghosh, Bose help TCA post 232/2

 Bishal Ghosh and Udiyan Bose gave Tripura Cricket Association a good start against KSCA XI in a league fixture of the KSCA K Thimmappaiah memorial all-India invitational tournament at Alur (1) ground on Friday.

Batting first, Ghosh (94) and Bose (85 not out) put on 137 runs for the second wicket to ensure their side reached 238 for two in 90 overs, at the end of day one.
Samrat Singha was the other noteworthy contributor with 38 runs. The KSCA XI bowlers had a difficult day as they failed to make break-throughs. 

At Alur 2, half-centuries from Arjun Hoysala and Pavan Deshpande propelled KSCA Colts to 260 for five against Cricket Association of Bengal.

Hoysala slammed 64 while Pavan posted 68. GS Chiranjeevi was batting on 40.  For Bengal, Aamir Gani (2/79) and Writtick Chatterjee  (2/34) shared four wickets between them.

In a rain-curtailed game at GSV, KSCA President’s XI bowlers had reduced Vidarbha Cricket Association to 162/5 after Sharath HS and KC Cariappa struck two wickets each.

Sharath claimed two for 40 while Cariappa took two for 18 as Vidarbha found the going tough.  Aditya Shanware was the top scorer with an unbeaten 58.

At Green Sports Village: Vidarbha Cricket Association: 162/5 in 54 overs (Aditya Shanware 58 n.o., Apoorva Wankhade 26; Sharath HS 2-40, KC Cariappa 2-18) vs KSCA President’s XI. (Play called off due to heavy rain). 

At BGS: Baroda Cricket Association vs Haryana Cricket Association (Day’s play called off due to wet outfield conditions without a ball being bowled).
