BJP state president and MP B S Yeddyurappa has expressed happiness over the appointment of Ramesh Jigajinagi as Union minister.
In statement, Yeddyurappa thanked the Prime Minister for giving a ministerial berth to Jigajinagi.
A senior Dalit leader with clout and reach in the entire state, Jigajinagi has knowledge and experience in handling various subjects. His induction into the Cabinet shows that the Prime Minister wants to bring qualitative change in governance, he added.
Members of the BJP SC morcha assembled near the Gandhi statue at Anand Rao Circle and celebrated the induction of Jigajinagi to the Cabinet.
