SBM to take on IOC (Mumbai) in summit clash

 Kranthi Kumar bagged a rich haul of six wickets, including a hat-trick, as State Bank of Mysore stormed into the final of the YSCA Trophy after registering a nine-wicket win over another Bengaluru team Vijaya Bank here on Saturday.

Kranthi Kumar returned figures of six for 12, as SBM dismissed Vijaya for a paltry 97 in 24 overs. Chasing the modest target, SBM replied with 100/1 in 20.3 overs. Kaunian Abbas top-scored with an unbeaten 42.

In the final, SBM will take on IOC, Mumbai who defeated India Cements by five runs in the other semifinal.

After posting 179 all out in 29.4 overs, riding Ravikant Shukla’s 69-ball 76, IOC restricted India Cements to 174 for nine in 30 overs to book their place in the summit clash.

Brief scores (semifinals): Vijaya Bank: 97 all out in 24 overs (Sadiq Kirmani 33; Kranti Kumar 6-12, Mitrakant 3-22) lt to SBM: 100/1 in 20. 3 overs (Kaunian Abbas 42 n.o.).

IOC (Mumbai): 179 all out in 29. 4 overs (Ravikant Shukla 76, Pinal Shah 42, Subham Ranjane 29; R Aushik Srinivas 3-30, V Arunkumar 3-32) bt India Cements: 174/9 in 30 overs (V YoMahesh 33, K Varun Kumar 32, J Kaushik 31; Avesh Khan 3-37).
