Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Friday arrested a Deputy Director of APMC ward in Yeshwantpur for demanding and accepting bribe.
The accused is T P Gayatri. Police said the complainant had approached the Deputy Director to get a permit for supplying agricultural products to anganwadis. Gayatri not only refused to accept the application but also demanded a bribe of Rs 30,000.
A complaint was filed with the Anti Corruption Bureau and a trap was laid on Friday.
The accused was arrested while accepting the bribe.
