Industries and Tourism Minister R V Deshpande on Friday said that he was unperturbed by rumours that he would be dropped from the cabinet.
Speaking to reporters here, Deshpande said that he has been in power enough number of times. “There is no count of the number of times I have become a minister or for that matter a former minister. I don’t even know how many times I have taken oath as minister in Raj Bhavan. I am not bothered about the cabinet reshuffle and the rumours. But, I am curious to know the outcome,” he added.
He said that it was about time that a new KPCC president took over. He said that the term of G Parameshwara as president had ended and that a leader with fresh perspectives should be appointed to the post. “Parameshwara is handling the Home portfolio and continues to manage the affairs of the party, which can be tedious. It’s time that somebody who is experienced and has a fresh outlook is appointed to the post.”
