JOIN USSujan R Bharadwaj and Ishani Harish emerged champions in the boys’ and girls’ cadet categories respectively of the RS Shakuntala memorial State-ranking table tennis tournament here on Thursday.
In the boys’ cadet final, Sujan defeated Aakash KJ 11-8, 12-10, 11-4 while Ishani Harish breezed past Parinitha 11-6, 11-6, 11-3 in the cadet girls’ summit tie.
In the mini-cadet section, Hrishikesh Shettlur and Sahana H Murthy bagged the titles in the boys’ and girls’ categories respectively.
Hrishikesh overcame a tough battle from Varun Kashyap to win 11-9, 7-11, 11-8, 12-14, 11-9 in the boys’ title round. In the girls’ final, Sahana dominated Farash Tehseen to win 11-7, 11-5, 11-4.
