A one-and-a-half years old boy was run over by a cement-laden truck near a construction site in Shiva Shakthi Sai Layout in Yelahanka New Town on Wednesday morning.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Shivu. He was residing with his parents, the construction labourers. On Wednesday, around 10.15 am, Shivu’s parents were busy with their work at the under construction building. Om Prakash, the driver of the tuck, after unloading the cement, moved the vehicle forward and in the process mowed down the baby sleeping near the shed. The labourers working at the site rushed the child to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead.
