ABVP demands re-examination for filling up FDA posts

Last Updated 23 May 2016, 17:54 IST
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members and aspirants of first division assistants (FDA) posts, who had appeared for exams conducted by Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) in 2015, staged a protest against the commission on Monday, demanding re-examination.

The agitators alleged that though the irregularities have been recurring with the leak of question paper on October 2 on the eve of exams, the government and KPSC is not bothered about re-conducting exam. Instead, the selection list has been announced on May 13. The government must not consider previous exam and hence should conduct a re-exam, they demanded.

One of the agitators Shankar, said, “The question paper was leaked a day before the examination and the paper was circulated through a social networking site. A majority of the candidates, who had written the exam in a particular centre have passed. The state government must conduct thorough investigation and consider null and void the previous exam.”

“We have spent almost six to seven years for preparing for the examination and we need justice for our efforts,” said Shankar.

The agitators suspected the involvement of Shivakumaraiah and Kiran, main accused in Pre-University Chemistry question paper leak, behind the KPSC exam papers too. The agitators demanded Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe in this regard.

The agitators took out a protest march from Ramaswamy Circle to deputy commissioner’s office before submitting a memorandum.
