ABB registers Q1 PAT at Rs 71 crore

Last Updated 26 April 2016, 17:32 IST

ABB, a global technology company, has registered marginal growth in profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 71 crore for the first quarter of 2016 against the same period last year at Rs 54 crore.  During the quarter, the company posted a profit before tax of Rs 107 crore.

The company in a statement said that continuous focus on localisation and engineering, while improving operational efficiencies contributed to the steady growth in profitability.

Investments made in strengthening operations yielded results by augmenting volumes and stabilising cost structures.

The company received orders worth Rs 1,830 crore in the first quarter of 2016. Investments in emerging segments, energy efficiency, urbanisation and projects to upgrade the grid compensated for the lack of traction in the process industries.
