Karnataka rout FCI

They were made to toil hard for a point against Railways in their previous Pool A game, but against the Food Corporation of India (FCI), a rejuvenated Karnataka side notched up a 6-3 win at the 6th Senior National Men’s Hockey Championship (A Division) here on Monday.

Against FCI, Thimmanna PL was their star performer as he slotted in two goals in the 12th and the 56th minutes, while Dung Dung S scored in the eighth and the 45th minutes. Aiyappa PR (24th min) and Somanna Pradhan (49th min) were the other scorers. For FCI, Neeraj (28th min), Vikram Yadav (20th min) and skipper Munish Rana (45th min) slotted in.
