Two charred to death as MUV catches fire

Two persons were charred to death after the multiutility vehicle they were travelling caught fire following a tyre burst, near Mantur village in Mudhol taluk on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as Chandravva Talavara (55) and Jaggur Talavara (30). Sadashiva Talavara, a resident of Mantur village had consumed poison and the victims were bringing him to a hospital in Mudhol by a Land Cruiser.  A tyre of the vehicle burst out as a result of which the MUV toppled and caught fire. Fire and Emergency Service personnel managed to douse the fire. Sadashiva has been admitted to a private hospital and he is said to be out of danger.
