Focus on drought relief, not BSY, Cong told

BJP leader S Suresh Kumar said the Congress leaders should focus on providing relief to the drought-affected people and stop bothering about former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.

Addressing reporters here on Tuesday, he said the Congress legislators should guide their party government on providing drought relief.

The government has failed to extend the much-needed succour to the drought-hit farmers. Instead of bothering too much about Yeddyurappa becoming the State BJP president, they should worry about the poor performance of the government, he added.

BJP MLC Ashwathnarayan said the party had formed 12 teams of its leaders to tour the drought-affected areas in the state. The fact-finding teams will assess the situation and submit a report to the party and the government, he said.

After the PU chemistry question paper, it is the turn of the caste census details to leak. This shows the government has no control over the administration, he charged.
