JOIN USA couple committed suicide by hanging themselves at their house at Prashanth Layout in Kadugodi police limits on Monday night.
The deceased have been identified as Narendra Nayak, 28 and his wife Shaila, 24. They hailed from Bagalkot and were married for two years. They had moved to the city three months ago.
The couple was staying at a rented house. Narendra was a car driver with a private firm while Shaila was a homemaker, police said.
The incident came to light after the owner of their house knocked on the door to wake them up for fetching drinking water. Since there was no response after repeated knocks, he peeped through the window and found the two bodies hanging from the ceiling.
The reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained, the police added.
