CPM on Saturday alleged that the demand for OBC reservation by Patel community in Gujarat was a part of RSS mission to completely abolish the reservation system in the country.

Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Hannan Mollah who was in Jaipur to discuss economic policies of the state government and the Centre with party members, accused that RSS is the main kingpin behind Patidar reservation movement.

“Hardik Patel is just a face of Patidar reservation movement. RSS is the main kingpin behind this movement. The intention of RSS is to abolish reservation system by creating such a mess.

Patel is the richest community in Gujarat. On what grounds they can get reservation,” said Hannan Mollah. Such baseless demands raise suspicion. RSS wants to achieve its hidden agenda by creating social instability over the issue of reservation, he added.

Mollah targeted BJP government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the incidents of communal riots in several parts of the country.

“Modi is a threat to secular system of the country. Incidents of communal riots and violence are on constant rise ever since Narendra Modi became the PM of this country. Communal forces are ruling the secular country and such things are expected.” said Mollah.

Mollah said the CPM would hold massive agitations in November against the economic policies of state government. “It’s the same month when Rajasthan will play host to Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit 2015. So we will hold a massive agitation against them in November,” Mollah said the Rajasthan government has passed two bills to provide reservation to Gurjar and economically backward class people.

“These bills will be challenged in the court as overall reservation has crossed 50 per cent limit. Economically backward classes should be given reservation but through a legal approach,” he said.
