Twitteratis are disappointed over the death of a 50-year-old man, who was lynched by a mob near Delhi on Monday night for allegedly consuming beef at home.  They reacted strongly over the forensic testing of the meat.

Mohammad Akhlaq was kicked and beaten  by a group of men in Dadri. His son was also dragged out by the residents along with him and beaten up.

Police reached the spot and took injured Akhlaq to hospital, but the victim succumbed to his injuries, said Gautama Budh Nagar's SP Kiran S.

Police arrested six men from the spot and sent the meat for forensic testing.  The incident triggered violent protests in the area and a police vehicle was burnt.

First we were divided on the basis of caste. Then on religion. Then on class. And now on the basis of veg-non veg. #dadri

Wonder why the cops sent the meat samples in the despicable Dadri incident for forensic analysis. Is possession of beef an offence in UP?
