The Lokayukta special court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of all the four accused in the corruption and extortion at Lokayukta.
The accused Syed Riyaz, suspended Joint Commissioner (PRO) Lokayukta, Ashok Kumar, Srinivasa Gowda and Shankare Gowda were produced before the court as their judicial custody had expired. The Lokayukta court judge Judge V G Bopaiah extended the judicial custody till October 9. The accused were granted bail by the Karnataka High Court.
However, on the day of the execution of the surety and bonds, the Supreme Court stayed the bail.
