Karthick, Sankar on top in MRF Rally

The Erode pair of KP Karthick Maruthi and Sankar Anand emerged champions in the pro-expert category of the MRF Rally here on Sunday.

The duo won by a total time penalty of 29 seconds, just two seconds ahead of SK Ajgar Ali and Mohammad Musthafa MK (31). The pair of Arvind J and M Chandrashekar finished third with the time of 32 seconds. In the Pro-stock category, the pair of Saurav Chatterjee and Ashok Kumar Basu won after attracting a total time penalty of three minutes and one second.

Championship leaders before this event, V Sekar and G Natarajan finished second with a total time penalty of 3.16 seconds. Amarnath GJ and Mokthiyar Ahmed with a time of 5:16 came third.
