Traffic restrictions for travel mela on Sept 6

Police will impose restrictions on traffic for the five-day travel mela at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre on Tumakuru Road organised by Pacific Asia Travel Association.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the event in the evening on September 6. The following restrictions will be in effect from 6 am on September 5 till 12 midnight on September 9:

n Route for heavy/ goods vehicles from Hebbal to Tumakuru Road: Vehicles will be restricted at a gate on ring road and allowed to move towards Goruguntepalya service road. Vehicles should take a right turn on the service road and a left turn at CMTI junction and move on the outer ring road and the FTI flyover. Vehicles should take a right turn at Sumanahalli junction and move on Sondekoppa Road to reach Nelamangala and proceed further on NH-4 or NH-48.

n Route for heavy/goods vehicles from Yeshwantpur to Tumakuru Road: Vehicles should  move on the service road at Marappanapalya junction and turn left at CMTI junction and move on the ORR. Vehicles should move on the FTI flyover and take a right turn at Sumanahalli junction and move towards Magadi Road. Vehicles should take a right turn at Tavarekere and move on Sondekoppa Road to reach Nelamangala and proceed further on NH-4 or NH-48.

n Route for heavy/ goods vehicles from RMC Yard to Tumakuru Road: Vehicles should move on the service road immediately after exiting from the RMC Yard. Vehicles should turn left at MEI junction, right at Krishnanandanagar junction and left at FTI Circle and move on the ORR to join Sumanahalli junction. Vehicles should turn right at Sumanahalli junction and move on Magadi Road, another right at Tavarekere and move on Sondekoppa road to reach Nelamangala and proceed on NH-4 or 48.

n Route for heavy/goods vehicles from Sumanahalli to RMC Yard: Vehicles from the ORR, Magadi Road and Mysuru Road should turn right at FTI Circle, left at Krishnananda Circle and enter the RMC Yard through gate number 9.

n Route for heavy/ goods vehicles from KR Puram to Tumakuru Road: Vehicles should take a right turn on the road below the Hebbal flyover and move on the KIA Road, Kempapura, Kodigehalli and Byatarayanapura bypass junction. Vehicles should proceed further, turn left at the underpass, another left at Santhe Circle, right at the Yelahanka police station junction and move on Doddaballapur Road. Vehicles should move on Singanayakanahalli Road, turn left at Rajanukunte and move on Doddabelamangala main road to reach Dobbspet or Nelamangala.
