Biju B Y and Kusha struck three goals each as Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) trounced KSHA Academy 11-2 in the KSHA Super Division Hockey League here on Wednesday.

The game began at a frenetic pace as the first eight minutes witnessed four goals, three from the sticks of the RWF men —  Sushil Xalxo (2nd minute), Biju (5th) and Deepak Bijawad (7th) — while Pemmaiah scored for KSHA in the eight minute.

There was a temporary lull from then on but another flurry of goals followed close to half-time. Rahul struck for KSHA in the 26th minute to make the score 3-2 but quick strikes from Jithin Kalappa (27th) and Biju (28th) gave RWF a comfortable 5-2 lead at the break.

The RWF men began the second half with purpose and the game was put to rest 10 minutes after the restart. Kusha (31st, 39th) and Umesh (40th) scored as KSHA were left stunned. Their defenders failed to close down attackers allowing them to take cracks at will, while the forwards lacked creative spark and their finishing touch had deserted them.

However, RWF were in no mood to relent with Biju and Kusha netting their third goal in the 43rd and 47th minutes respectively. Ramesh completed the rout in the 54th.

In the earlier game, three goals from Rajan (27th, 50th, 59th) helped Ideal Sports to a 6-2 win over RBI. Sunil Murthy (17th), Vincent Aiyadurai (37th) and Deepa Ganeshan (39th) were the other scorers for the victors while goals from Roshan (24th) and Thanu Nanjappa (47th) for RBI capped off a disappointing day for the bankmen.
