Karunuday enters final

Indian duo Anvit-Akash  win doubles crown

India’s Karunuday Singh will take on top seed Antoine Escoffier of France in the final of the Mysore Minerals Ltd Men’s  ITF $10,000 Mandya Open at the PET Sports Complex here on Saturday.

While the third-seeded Karunuday beat fellow country man Ronit Singh Bist 6-7, 6-2, 7-6 (5) in the semifinals, Escoffier saw off the challenge from India’s Vishu Vardhan. The Frenchman won 6-4, 7-6 (4).

Meanwhile in the doubles final, the second-seeded pair of Anvit Bendre and Akash Wagh beat Taipe’s Jui-Chen Hung and India’s Sasi Kumar Mukund 2-6, 6-4, 10-6 to claim the title.
Mysore ITF from May 25 The Sobha ITF Mysore Open will be coducted under the aegis of KSLTA from May 25 to 30 at the Infosys campus courts.

Indian Davis Cupper Ramkumar Ramnathan will be the biggest draw and is seeded one.
The main draw will feature 32 players with 18 direct entries, two special exempts, eight qualifiers and four wild cards.

The recipients of the wild cards are SD Prajwal, Rashein Samuel, Aditya Deswal and Garvit Batra.
