JOIN USCondemning the statements of KPCC president G Parameshwar, related to the appointment of KPSC chairman and members, former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa demanded a public apology.
Addressing media persons, in Hassan, on Thursday, he said, the Governor has rejected the list submitted by the State government, so, the government should either rectify the errors or take steps to convince the Governor.
“Instead, Parameshwar has insulted the Constitution by issuing statements that the party would give a befitting reply to the Governor,” he said.
Yeddyurappa said, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has completed two years in office by just announcing various schemes.
He had assured Grama Vikasa Yojane, in place of Suvarna Grama Yojane in the 2014-15 budget. Even after a year, not a single village has been identified under the scheme.
Not a single kilometre road has been developed under CM’s Grameena Raste Yojane. Similarly, Lake Development Authority and Krishi Bele Ayoga has not been constituted. Funds amounting to Rs 4,854 crore, earmarked for the development of SC/STs, has not been utilised, he said.
China tour
Yeddyurappa opined, if the Chief Minister had accepted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation for the China tour, it would have benefited the State in several ways. Siddaramaiah should explain why he rejected the China visit, he demanded.
The Chief Minister should come out of the ‘Bhagya’ schemes and explain about the investments made, the number of industries set up in the State since two years.
The Centre is providing rice and wheat at Rs 3 and Rs 2 per kg respectively, which the State government is distributing free to BPL card holders, he explained.
Yeddyurappa criticised the State government for not submitting a comprehensive report on rain damage, though the Centre is ready to support the farmers.
