Top honour for Tejpal

National Police Academy’s (Hyderabad) Tejpal Daber emerged winner in the individual section of the Novice Normal Show Jumping on the first day of Bangalore Horse Show here at the ASC Equestrian ground on Saturday.

With four penalty points, Tejpal pipped Maj Malik of ASC, who came second with eight penalty points.

Tejpal, along with Sumer Singh and Subbah Rao struck gold in the team event, guiding NPA to victory with 25 penalty points. ASC finished runner-up, with 45 penalty points.
Riders from ASC dominated the day’s first event, Tent Pegging Lance (Individual), bagging the first and second positions.

Balram Yadav (ASC, North) was adjudged the winner while Nk Piara (ASC, South) took the second place.

The first phase of the National Championship – The Concurs Complete International 1* (CCI*) concluded on Friday and ASC lead the medals tally with eight medals, including three gold to their credit. RVC Centre (Meerut) are placed second, with four medals.

Team: NPA (Tejpal Daber, Sumer Singh, Subbah Rao) 25, 1; ASC (Maj KD Malik, Sukha Ram, Naveen Kumar) 45, 2.

Young Rider: Dhriti Wadhwa (Mumbai).
Hacks: Category I: Kartik Sharma (ARPA) 1; Anoushka Mani (ARPA) 2.
Category II: Himanshu Mohanty (ARPA) 1; Anuj Arora (ARPA) and Stuti Wadhwa (Mumbai), 2.
