Speaker summons Anand Singh

Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa has summoned Vijayanagara MLA Anand Singh to his chambers on Friday at 11 am, to submit his resignation in person.

 Thimmappa on Thursday said he had received the resignation letter of Anand Singh through the jail superintendent. “The resignation letter has been sent to me via the jail superintendent of Parapanna Agrahara, I have asked him to appear in person and submit his resignation on Friday,” he said.

Anand Singh had submitted his resignation on April 13 to the jail superintendent, with the request of forwarding the same to the Assembly Speaker. Singh has been in and out of jail on cases pertaining to illegal mining.
