Tahir happy with Delhi's performance

Delhi Daredevils’ star performer Imran Tahir struggled to explain his side’s second successive loss in a close contest but assured that they would soon bounce back in the competition.

Tahir, whose splendid 4/28 against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday, fetched the purple cap (given for leading wicket-taker in the tournament) said he was happy the way they fought.
“We were in a good position. I don't know where we went wrong. It is such a small target in T20 cricket, you can see even the guys coming at No. 9 and 10 can bat. I think it was a great team effort by them. They really played well. From us we have just been a little short on luck,” Tahir told reporters after his side’s three-wicket loss to Royals.

“In this game and the previous one we proved that we have played really good cricket but it's been a small margin of loss. We are hoping for good results. I know my comments may not justify the 11th straight loss but we are truly happy with the way we played.”

Royals’ Deepak Hooda, whose blistering 25-ball 54, said being the part of Royals squad last year helped him prepare for the IPL. "I was nervous in the beginning. So I decided to take only singles. My shots came off later. I was in the Rajasthan Royals squad last year, so I got a taste of being around an IPL team. It helped me to prepare,” he said.
