JOIN USBJP leader B S Yeddyurappa has condemned the levy of one per cent cess on petrol and diesel in the budget saying it will be an additional burden on common man. He has termed the budget 2015-16 as disappointing.
In his press statement, Yedyurappa has said the budget has nothing new for the farming community, which is reeling under crop loss due to drought as well as unseasonal rainfall.
Stating that the chief minister has increased the debts of the State by Rs 82,000 crore, he said only 65 per cent of the plan expenditure has been met in the year 2014-15, which is nothing but a poor performance on part of the government.
Yedyurappa has also said the State government has not focussed on skill development, employment generation and development and filling up the vacancies in various departments of the State.
