Cops stop car, find murdered man's body clad in burqa

Police conducting a random check on a car in Ghaziabad were in for a surprise in the wee hours of Wednesday.

The woman in burqa sitting along with three others turned out to be the corpse of a 40-year-old man.

He had been murdered by his wife who suspected that he had an extramarital affair.
Police later landed up at her house in east Delhi’s Jagatpuri to arrest her.
According to police, 35-year-old Rabiya strangled Dilshad after giving him milk laced with sleeping pills.

She even hired a contract killer to dump the body with the help of two friends.
“The murder came to the fore when three of them were on way to Gang Nahar in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district on Wednesday,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Ajay Kumar.
“The body was concealed in a burqa, but a police team on patrol saw a hint of beard in the veil,” Kumar added.

Police said on finding out about Dilshad’s affair, Rabiya hatched a conspiracy to kill him and contacted her friend Habiba and her husband Maujuddin.

They even hired contract killer Noor Mohammad and made an advance payment of Rs 10,000.
Drugs him, then kills him.

As per plan, Rabiya gave milk laced with sleeping pills to Dilshad at their house late on Tuesday and called Habiba, Maujuddin and Noor Mohammad. They strangled Dilshad and planned to dump the body in Gang Nahar in Ghaziabad.

“They wrapped Dilshad’s body in a burqa and then Habiba, Maujuddin and Noor Mohammad left home in a Maruti 800 car,” Kumar added.

The gang had reached Muradnagar in Ghaziabad in the wee hours of Wednesday, when a patrolling vehicle of police intercepted the car.

Initially, they tried to mislead police saying a woman was ill and they were taking her for treatment.
However, the police team found their behavior suspicious.

“When they started asking questions, the gang tried to offer a bribe. Soon, the police team found that they were carrying a body as they saw beard in the veil,” Kumar said.

All detained
Habiba, Maujuddin and Noor Mohammad were detained.
They were arrested after Dilshad’s post-mortem was conducted.

Information was also sent to Jagatpuri police station after which a case of murder was registered and Rabiya was arrested.
