Rising Rani powers to victory in feature event

Rising Rani, piloted by Vishwanath, won the Udhagamandalam Cup 1400 metres, the feature event on the final day of the races here on Wednesday.

Rising Rani finished just ahead of Supreme in a thrilling finish to claim the top honours while Absolute Brave finished third.

Dr M A M Ramaswamy emerged the leading owner while Satish Narredu was adjudged as the champion trainer.  Y S Srinath with 20 winners was the champion jockey.
