One-ways, parking restrictions

To ensure smooth flow of traffic during Dasara, the city police have made changes in existing routes, imposing one-ways and prohibiting parking on some of the prominent roads in the heart of the city, effective from September 25 to October 4. The restrictions will be in place between 3 pm and 9.30 pm.

Vehicles are allowed to ply in one-way (anti-clockwise direction) on the roads around Palace, while the movement of vehicles is banned in the clockwise direction. Commuters will have take the anti-clockwise route from JSS Mahavidyapeetha Circle, B N road, Hardinge Circle, A V Road, Old Statue junction, A V road, K R Circle, New Sayyaji Rao road, Patashala Circle and Chamaraja road.

The vehicles can move in clockwise direction between New Sayyaji Rao road, K R Circle and Ayurvedic Circle, covering Irvin road, Nehru Circle, Ashoka road, Mahaveera Circle and Old Statue junction. While vehicles can move from western side to eastern side from Nehru Circle to B N Road, north to south on Banumaiah road (between Chamaraja double road junction and Banumaiah chowka), south to north on Thyagaraja road from  N Madhav Rao circle to Chamaraja double road.

No parking

Parking of vehicles of all types are restricted on the following stretch of roads: Sayyaji Rao road, from K R Circle to Basaveshwara Circle, Purandara road, from Basaveshwara Circle to B N road, B N road, from JSS Mahavidyapeetha Junction to Hardinge Circle, A V road, from Hardinge Circle to K R Circle, Ashoka road, Nehru circle to Mahaveer Circle, Ashoka road, from Mahaveer Circle to Old Statue circle including the vacant area in front of Balarama Gate of the Palace, Fountain Circle to Millenium Circle, Tank bund road in front of Dasara Exhibition Grounds, Manasara road, from Vani Vilas junction to Lokranjan junction, M M road, from  B N road to Channaiah Circle and Government House road, South Gate to Hardinge Circle.
No movement
On Jamboo Savari day, movement of vehicles are prohibited on the procession route from 12 noon to 5 pm. The route is as follows - Balarama gate of the Palace, A V road, K R Circle, Sayyaji Rao road and Ayurvedic Circle. Similarly, movement of vehicles is prohibited between 3 pm and 6 pm from Ayurvedic Circle to Highway circle, followed by Highway Circle to Bannimantap main gate (Nelson Mandela road), from 5 pm to 10 pm. Prior to this, heavy and light motor vehicles entering the city through borders will be diverted towards the ring roads from 6 am itself.
While the all types of vehicles are also banned on the procession route from 11.30 am to 10 pm.
